Oh, you
want to know more? Well, okay then!

I came from a small rural community in central Illinois. There may have been a university there, but there were more corn fields than humans. The town was definitely too small for someone with dreams as big as mine.

Making a break for it…

I’ll be honest, I wasn’t a great student in high school. And there weren’t many options for someone like me, coming from a small town as I did. So I decided to try working on cars for a living.

Although I enjoyed fixing cars, it wasn’t where my heart was. After little more than a year as a mechanic, I left home for Savannah College of Art and Design. My goal? Become a world famous photographer!

It was at SCAD that I first began working with dancers, and playing bagpipes. Little did I know, both would change my life forever.

Life in the Big Apple

After graduating from SCAD, I headed straight for NYC. I began interning and working with some of the best talent the world had to offer.

It wasn’t long before I was racking up incredible experiences and my own impressive resume and body of work.

Home Stage

In 2012 I began my Home Stage project. In 2015 it was picked up by media outlets around the world and I was suddenly a big deal!

Shortly after I was invited to be the featured artist of the international dance festival in Poland, Open Stage.

Between 2011 and 2017 I grew as an artist and person. My time in NYC helped me understand who I was and what I wanted from life. Which is why I decided to leave the Big Apple for the Emerald City, Seattle.

West
coast
livin’

Life in Seattle is very different from NYC. Whenever someone asks me what it’s like to be here after New York, I tell them it’s feels like rehab.

After moving to the west coast I began adapting my skills to the tech industry. Since 2018 I’ve been helping companies big and small their works and improve efficiency.

I also began focusing more on music! I’ve met, played with, and learned from many incredible musicians since moving to Seattle.

我也开始学习中文,现在喝很多茶。加油!

The future…?

In the spring of 2024 I began my Master in Library and Information Science at San Jose State University, and became the Chair of the Irish Pipers Club. Moving forward I hope to use my platform and education to improve the education and cultural preservation of Irish traditional folk music.

Who knows what the future holds, but I’ll continue to shoot, play music, and do what I can to make the lives of others a little better than before they met me.
